Thailand 02

I was in Pattaya, Thailand attending a conference in July 2003. Pattaya is definitely a beautiful and colourful coastal town to visit. I posted this postcard to myself from Pattaya on 20 July 2003.

Indonesia 01

Kelimutu is a volcano located in the centre of Flores Island, Indonesia. There are three coloured lakes at Kelimutu, i.e. Tiwu Ata Mbupu (Lake of Old People), Tiwu Nuwa Muri Koo Fai (Lake of Young Men and Maidens) and Tiwu Ata Polo (Bewitched or Enchanted Lake). Tiwu Nuwa Muri Koo Fai and Tiwu Ata Polo are separated by a shared crater wall. All the three lakes are shown on the postcard below. Roy sent me this postcard from Indonesia on 23 April 1997. What a spectacular postcard!

Taiwan 01

Taipei city, the capital of Republic of China (Taiwan), now has a new landmark - the 101 building. The 101 building is one of the tallest buildings in the world. My mate Clement went to Taiwan with his mum for holiday last year. He asked me what I want from Taiwan, and I told him that I just want a postcard sent from Taiwan. Here you go, he sent me this postcard (showing the 101 building) from Taipei on 28 May 2007.

Croatia 01

Petra was living in Zagreb, Croatia. She sent me this nice postcard showing King Tomislav Square of the city Zagreb. Date: 26 September 1995.

France 01

It was a cold autumn in 1998.......... ten years ago..... I set my foot on the land of France....... I must admit that France, particularly Paris, is a romantic place to visit. On 11 October 1998, I climbed up the Eiffel Tower...... the wind was strong and cold as I still remember vividly. There is a mini post office up at the tower, and I didn't forget to send myself a postcard from the tower. It is a good thought of the mini post office to have its own hand stamp postmark...... all the mail posted at the mini post office would be hand stamped using the specially designed postmark of the tower.

Thailand 01

Thailand is always a beautiful country..... and Bangkok in particular. Chao Praya River flows through Bangkok city, and the shadowy view of Wat Arun is misterious..... and the people of Bangkok carry out thier daily life as usual along the river. This particular emotional postcard was sent to me by Ratchata on 19 September 1992.

Turkey 01

Nezihe from Istanbul, Turkey sent me this fabulous postcard from Istanbul on 22 June 2000. Showing in the postcard is Dolmabahce Mosque, Clock Tower in Istanbul. The Dolmabahce Mosque is next to Dolmabahce Palace. The mosque was built in 1885.

Spain 01

My good Thai friend "A" went to Spain for holiday. He never forgot to send me postcard....... Here is the postcard showing Temple Expiatori Sagrada Familia. Date: 25 June 1997.

Vatican 01

I went to Rome, Italy to attend my friend wedding..... and I managed to spend some good time in Rome, and of cource the marvelous Vatican city. I sent this postcard from Vatican to myself back home in Malaysia. The postcard depicts St. Peter's Square and the surrounding Rome city. Date: 24 June 1999.

USA 01

Kong went to San Francisco, USA for outstation work. He sent me this wonderful postcard from San Francisco. The postcard depicts the Golden Gate Bridge. Date: 15 May 1996.
