Suchi sent me this beautiful postcard of Taj Mahal from India (March 2008)....... Taj Mahal is a mausoleum located at Agra. This magnificent structure was constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite wife Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal was listed under UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983.

I couldn't recognise the structure in the postcard, and there is limited information on the postcard about the structure.... only the description "Wu Men" (literally translated as Noon Door/Gate) is given at the bottom right corner of the postcard. This postcard is from Arizona, USA, and postmarked on 29 August 2000. Showing in the postcard is Saguaro National Park. The park was established as Saguaro National Monument on 1 March 1933, and later changed to Saguaro National Park on 14 October 1994. The park gets its name from saguaro cactus which is native to this region. The park is a paradise for many cactus species.

The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. It was built in 1806. The momument stands 51m height and 45m width. The postcard was postmarked on 12 October 1998.
